Police are looking for a gunman who shot and robbed a man on the platform of a train station on Staten Island.

According to investigators, the 29-year-old man was sitting on the platform inside the Old Town Road Train Station when the suspect approached shortly after 11:00 p.m. on Monday.

The bandit demanded money, then pulled out a gun and shot the victim.

The suspect fled with an unknown amount of cash.

He was described as a black man, approximately 35 years old, approximately 5'08". He was last seen wearing a light-colored t-shirt, dark-colored shorts and a Yankees baseball cap. He has long hair and two gold front teeth.

Authorities said the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries, but released no further details.
