NEW YORK (WABC) -- A Queens man was arrested after allegedly sending a threatening letter to the bank that put a lean on his Bayside home.
Police say 52-year-old Michael Chung was taken into custody by FBI agents at 6 p.m. Tuesday at his 23rd Avenue home.
Prosecutors said Chung was encumbered by a $179,000 home equity loan issued by Sovereign Bank. In response, he faxed a letter to Sovereign Bank in Pottsville, Pennsylvania, threatening to kill several employees.
A shotgun was found at Chung's home. Chung is believed to be a member of a sovereign citizens group that does not believe in paying taxes.
