NEW YORK (WABC) -- Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down two men who passed themselves off as cops in a home invasion robbery attempt.
Surveillance video shows the two men, who used police shields and guns to push their way into a home on Cypress Avenue in Queens two months ago.
The victim, a 49-year-old man, allowed the suspects to enter his home after they displayed the badges.
They ended up fleeing the house without taking anything.
No injuries were reported at this incident.
Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 800-577-TIPS.
