Surveillance released of Queens cop impersonators

Police are asking for the public's help in tracking down two men who passed themselves off as cops in a home invasion robbery attempt.

Surveillance video shows the two men, who used police shields and guns to push their way into a home on Cypress Avenue in Queens two months ago.

The victim, a 49-year-old man, allowed the suspects to enter his home after they displayed the badges.

They ended up fleeing the house without taking anything.

No injuries were reported at this incident.
