Firefighter seriously hurt battling Staten Island blaze

NEW YORK (WABC) -- At least one firefighter is in serious condition after flames tore through a home on Staten Island.

The fire started late Thursday night on Van Duzer Street in Stapleton.

Seven firefighters were injured overall.

No one was in the home at the time.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
