NEW YORK (WABC) -- A former NYPD officer accused of rape is finally headed to jail Thursday.
Kenneth Moreno was acquitted of raping a woman he and former partner Franklin Mata were supposed to be helping into her East Village aparmtnet.
But both were convicted of official misconduct.
The state's highest court has thrown out Moreno's final appeal.
Both men are due at Rikers Island Thursday to begin serving their sentences.
