Empire State Building contest looks for city's top color

NEW YORK (WABC) -- Some New Yorkers saw red early Tuesday when the Empire State Building began its campaign to find New York's favorite color.

For the rest of the week, from sundown until 2 a.m., the building will use its new LED tower lights to get the public's opinion.

Each side lights up in a different shade of the same color, and people are invited to use Facebook to vote for their favorite.

Tuesday night's color is orange.
