NEW YORK (WABC) -- A group of Rikers Island inmates are facing more time in prison, accused of scamming the state out of $160,000.
The labor department says accomplices would file unemployment claims for the suspects and deposit their weekly checks.
Authorities have charged 14 people with grand larceny.
They face an additional seven years in prison if convicted.
