Police hunt man who slashed Staten Island deli worker

Police are searching for a man who slashed a deli worker in the face in Staten Island.

Newly released surveillance video shows the suspect.

The attack happened three weeks ago at the Diamond Deli on Broad Street in the Stapleton section.

The man propped the deli door open before attacking the worker behind the counter, slashing him.

The suspect then fled the scene.

The victim suffered lacerations to the face and was treated and released from Richmond University Medical Center.

The suspect is described as a black male wearing an orange hoodie and blue jeans.
