NEW YORK (WABC) -- New green-colored "Boro taxis" are starting to appear on New York City streets.
Three of the cabs are hitting the road this weekend and are the first of what's expected to thousands.
This after the state appeals court rejected a challenge from yellow cab owners.
The green cabs are allowed to pick up street hails in upper Manhattan, and in other boroughs, except for at the airports.
Unlike livery cabs, the green taxis accept credit cards and have meters.
