Armed robbers target livery cab driver in Brooklyn

Police are looking for two suspects in the armed robbery of a livery cab driver in Brooklyn.

It happened around 2 a.m. Saturday in front of 1308 East 5th Street in the Midwood section.

Police say a man got into the back of the cab and held a sharp object to the driver's neck. Another man, outside the car, pushed the driver's head into the steering wheel and demanded money.

They made off with $200 in cash, a cell phone, and assorted documents.

The two men then fled westbound on Avenue L toward East 4th Street on foot, police say.

The 34-year old cab driver was not hurt.

The suspects are described as a black male in his 20's, 6', 180 lbs wearing a blue hat, and a black male, 6', 240 lbs.
