Man swings bat at NYPD officer in Eastchester

NEW YORK (WABC) -- There's new video of a man who tried to attack an NYPD officer with a baseball bat.

Surveillance video shows the man running away from a subway stop Wednesday morning in the Eastchester section of the Bronx.

Investigators say an officer saw him jump a turnstile.

When the officer tried to stop him, the suspect swung a wooden bat at him, then took off.

The officer was not hurt.
