FAIRFIELD, Conn. (WABC) -- A man hit the highway in a most unusual set of wheels.
A man was caught cruising I-95 in an electric wheelchair in Fairfield, Connecticut on Thursday.
DOT cameras captured the man riding southbound on the shoulder, seemingly oblivious to dangerous cars whizzing by.
He got off at the Fairfield exit before cops could find him to issue a ticket.
Police warn it's illegal, and not too bright, to take motorized wheelchairs on the highway.
