Man arrested for allegedly propositioning child

NEWBURGH, N.Y. (WABC) -- There's a search for possible victims of an accused child predator in Orange County.

Police say 25-year-old Juan Mendoza was arrested in Newburgh Thursday and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

Police believe he's the man who asked a 9-year-old girl if he could touch her in a sexual manner back in May.

Investigators say Mendoza has been a suspect in previous similar incidents.
