HASTINGS ON HUDSON (WABC) -- Police are investigating a violent armed home invasion that occurred in Hastings on Hudson last week.
Authorities say they received a 911 call around 9 a.m. on January 4 that a robbery had taken place in an apartment on Main Street.
According to police, three suspects armed with handguns identified themselves as police officers and forced their way into the victim's apartment.
The suspects demanded money and unsuccessfullly attempted to remove a safe. They then fled with an unknown amount of cash.
The victims own a local business establishment in the village, which was not open at the time of the robbery.
The only description available at this time is that the suspects are three males who fled in an unknown direction.
