Woman misses Air France flight, dies in car wreck

LONDON (WABC) -- A woman who missed the Air France flight that crashed has died in a car accident.

The London Times reports Johanna Ganthaler had been on holiday in Brazil with her husband Kurt. They were late getting to the airport on May 31 and missed Air France Flight 447.

All 228 people aboard lost their lives after the plane crashed into the Atlantic four hours into its flight to Paris.

Ganthaler died and her husband was injured on Wednesday when their car veered across a road in Kufstein, Austria, and swerved into an oncoming truck.
