WILMINGTON, NC (WABC) -- A police dog in Wilmington, North Carolina was attacked in the line of duty by a criminal who was determined to take a bite out of crime fighters.
Two-year-old Max was chasing a suspect who was wanted on weapons charges.
When Max caught up to the suspect, the man bit Max on the ear.
Max ended up needing emergency stitches, but he still held on to the suspect until his fellow officers could make the collar.
