NEW YORK (WABC) -- Two well-known local politicians are duking it out in Brooklyn for a spot in Washington.
Charles Barron and Hakeem Jeffries joined us this week to discuss their campaign to represent Brooklyn in Congress.
They are vying to succeed Brooklyn Congressman Edolphus Towns. The veteran Democrat decided to retire after 30 years in office, leaving his 8th Congressional seat wide open. The district was altered by redistricting and now includes Fort Greene, Bed-Stuy, East New York and Coney Island.
