Submit questions for the Democratic New York City Mayoral debate

Eyewitness News wants your questions for Tuesday's Democratic New York City Mayoral debate on Channel 7.

On Tuesday, August 13, the Democratic candidates will meet in a debate. Christine Quinn, Anthony Weiner, Bill Thompson, Bill de Blasio and John Liu will square off beginning at 7:00 p.m. We will broadcast the debate on Channel 7 and stream the debate live on 7online and our news apps.

We are soliciting viewer questions for the debate. You can submit your questions in several ways:

BY EMAIL: Click here to fill out a form and submit by email. Write "comptroller debate question" or "mayor debate question" in the subject line.

BY TWITTER: Use the hashtag #ABC7Debates

BY COMMENTING: Enter a question in the comment section at the bottom of this article.

BY VIDEO: Yes, you can submit a video question. The easiest way to do it is using Instagram. The video must be :15 or less. Be sure to include at least your first name and location. In the text, include @ABC7NY and #ABC7Debates so we can see the video. You can also upload a video or share via using YouTube on our iWitness page by clicking here. Remember, the question must be :15 or less.

The sponsors of these two debates include WABC-TV, Noticias Univision 41, the new York daily news and the League of Women Voters of New York City.

Please submit questions no later than Tuesday, August 13 at 12:00 p.m.

You can see Eliot Spitzer and Scott Stringer in the first New York City Democratic Comptroller debate on Sunday, August 11 at 11:00 a.m. on Channel 7. That's followed by the Republican Mayoral Debate between Joe Lhota, John Catsimatidis and George McDonald at noon.
