Villanova will be without freshman Mouphtaou Yarou for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off because of a viral infection, a source said.

Villanova (No. 6 ESPN/USA Today, No. 5 AP) will be without freshman Mouphtaou Yarou for the Puerto Rico Tip-Off because of a viral infection, a source told ESPN.com. Yarou flew home from the tournament early Thursday, the source said.

The Wildcats, who were scheduled to play at 2 p.m. ET against George Mason, were already short-handed. Senior Reggie Redding is serving a suspension after being charged with possession of a small amount of marijuana this summer.

Yarou, who was cleared by the NCAA last week after questions arose about his age, is averaging 5.0 points and 4.0 rebounds in Villanova's first two games. He started both games.
