The parade, scheduled for Friday, Nov. 6, will begin on Broadway at Battery Place at 11 a.m. and continue northbound up the Canyon of Heroes to City Hall Plaza where Mayor Michael Bloomberg will present the Bronx Bombers with the Keys to the City.

Yankees fans will find extra trains and ferries to see the World Series champs honored in lower Manhattan's "Canyon of Heroes."

The Port Authority will operate extra PATH service between the morning and afternoon rush to and from Newark, Hoboken and the World Trade Center.

NJ Transit will add two extra trains each in the afternoon on the Northeast Corridor, North Jersey Coast and Morris & Essex lines.

NY Waterway is adding extra ferries from Weehawken to Wall Street and the World Financial Center. One of the boats includes the Yankee Clipper, which is wrapped with photos of Yankee players and normally takes fans to Yankee Stadium.

STREET CLOSURES

Beginning at 8 a.m., streets in the vicinity of the parade formation area will be closed to prepare for the parade. These streets include:

  • Battery Place from Thames Street to Little West Street
  • Battery Place between Broadway and West Street
  • Greenwich Street north of Battery Place
  • State Street will also be closed down to Water Street

    Beginning at 9 a.m., streets in the area of City Hall will start to be closed. These streets include:

  • Chambers Street from Church to Centre streets
  • Park Row from Broadway to Centre Street

    Starting at 10:30 a.m., the parade route on Broadway from Battery Park to Worth Street will be closed. Additionally, other streets in the area may be closed as needed. Businesses in lower Manhattan should plan accordingly, including rescheduling deliveries. Parking will be prohibited on Broadway and surrounding streets beginning Thursday evening.

    LIRR additional trains:

    The MTA Long Island Rail Road will provide extra trains (six morning westbound and eight afternoon eastbound) for fans. LIRR Customers should purchase round-trip tickets in advance in order to save time and avoid lines.

    WESTBOUND TO PENN STATION

    Babylon Branch

  • Leave Freeport at 9:18 AM, making all stops through Lynbrook, Jamaica, arriving Penn Station at 9:59 AM.

  • Leave Wantagh at 9:27 AM, making all stops through Rockville Centre, Jamaica, arriving Penn Station at 10:17 AM.

  • Leave Wantagh at 9:49 AM, making all stops through Rockville Centre, Jamaica, arriving Penn Station at 10:37 AM.

    Port Jefferson Branch (from Hicksville)

  • Leave Hicksville at 10:32 AM, making all stops through New Hyde Park, Jamaica, arriving Penn Station at 11:18 AM.

    Ronkonkoma Branch (from Farmingdale/Hicksville)

  • Leave Hicksville at 8:56 AM, making all stops through Queens Village, Jamaica, arriving Penn Station at 9:44 AM.

  • Leave Farmingdale at 9:50 AM, making all stops through Queens Village, Jamaica, arriving Penn Station at 10:47 AM.

    EASTBOUND FROM PENN STATION

    Babylon Branch

  • 2:25 PM, express to Lynbrook, then all stops to Babylon.

  • 3:00 PM , Jamaica, Rockville Centre, then all stops to Babylon.

  • 3:31 PM, express to Rockville Centre, then all stops to Babylon.

    Port Jefferson Branch

  • 2:09 PM, stopping at Jamaica, Carle Place, then all stops to Huntington.

  • 2:22 PM, stopping at Forest Hills, Kew Gardens, Jamaica, New Hyde Park, then all stops to Huntington.

  • 3:24 PM, stopping at Jamaica, Mineola, Westbury and Hicksville.

    Port Washington Branch

  • 3:40 PM, stopping at Woodside, Flushing Main St., then all stops to Great Neck.

    Far Rockaway Branch

  • 3:48 PM, stopping at Locust Manor, Laurelton, Rosedale, Valley Stream, then all stops to Far Rockaway.
