The Winnipeg Jets signed center Jim Slater to a three-year contract Wednesday.
WINNIPEG, Manitoba -- The Winnipeg Jets signed center Jim Slater to a three-year contract Wednesday.The 29-year-old Slater, from Lapeer, Mich., had 13 goals and eight assists in 78 games last season. He has 60 goals, 61 assists and 322 penalty minutes in 449 career games with the Atlanta/Winnipeg franchise.
Slater was set to become an unrestricted free agent July 1.
