Transit Strike Plan: Restricted Roads

In the event of a transit strike, key roadways in Manhattan will be reserved for public safety personnel and for priority transportation services.

Priority vehicles are: medallion taxicabs, for-hire vehicles, buses (school, express, and charter), commuter van services (with NYSDOT permits) and Access-A-Ride vehicles. All authorized parking privileges (with the exception of those conveyed by the NYC Special Parking Identification (SPI) permit) and truck-loading areas on the reserved corridors will be suspended for the duration of the transit strike.
