NEW YORK (WABC) -- New Jersey Transit and Amtrak are experiencing problems because of the winter storm.
It's so bad in South Jersey that New Jersey Transit is suspending most bus service. The suspension affects all 300-series, 400-series and 500-series bus routes.
Local bus service in Monmouth County also has been suspended.
On the rails, Northeast Corridor 7600-series trains, which operate between Rahway and New York, are cancelled. Customers who normally use 7600-series trains may use other Northeast Corridor or North Jersey Coast Line trains to/from Trenton or Long Branch instead. (Please note: This is a small subset of Northeast Corridor service. All stations will continue to have service.)
All NJ Transit bus and rail lines in Northern New Jersey are operating normally on a regular weekend schedule.
NJ Transit is cross-honoring tickets systemwide, meaning train tickets can be used for buses and vice versa.
NJ Transit recommends before starting your trip, visit the Travel Alerts page at njtransit.com for up-to-the-minute service information. This information is also available by calling (973) 275-5555
