NEW YORK -- Experiencing art in New York City's subway and railroad stations is just an app away.
Transit officials are introducing a new free app for Apple and Android devices. It will present MTA riders with more than 200 works of art installations at selected subway, LIRR and Metro-North stations.
The app offers "turn-by-turn directions" for locating the art installations and information and photos on each.
The application will be launched at a ceremony Thursday.
