New LIRR timetables take effect Monday

LONG ISLAND (WABC) -- New Long Island Rail Road timetables are in effect Monday.

The adjusted schedules will effect the Port Washington, Ronkonkoma, Port Jefferson and Far Rockaway branches.

On the Port Washington branch, half-hourly midday service will resume.

Service had been scaled back due to budget cuts, but many commuters complained.
