WATCH ABC - How to verify to watch ABC 7 on the go

Now you can watch your favorite ABC shows, Eyewitness News, and all the great shows on Channel 7 in the palm of your hand with WATCH ABC.

As of Monday, July 1, all you need to do is log in to verify your participating cable TV provider and you can watch Channel 7 LIVE on your iPhone, iPad, select Android tablets including Samsung Galaxy devices, Kindle Fire, Kindle Fire HD and on your computer or laptop.

WATCH ABC allows people to view the nation's most watched broadcast station at home and on the go while in the New York viewing area.

Verifying the app is easy. Just launch the app, select your TV provider and enter the user name and password to your TV provider account. If you forgot your user name and password, please contact your TV provider.

Currently, Disney/ABC Television Group has agreements in place for its verified WATCH products with a variety of Multichannel Video Program Distributors (MVPDs) including Comcast, Cablevision, Cox Communications, Charter Communications, Midcontinent Communications and AT&T U-verse, and Verizon Fios.

WATCH service is available in the New York City area to customers of those participating providers.

The new WATCH ABC service provides viewers for the first time ever with LIVE, local station access to their favorite ABC shows like Good Morning America, Scandal, Modern Family and Jimmy Kimmel, plus Eyewitness News, Live with Kelly and Michael, Wheel of Fortune, Jeopardy and other local Channel 7 programs like Up Close and Here and Now, as well as a variety of on-demand content.

The new WATCH ABC service includes the on-demand full-episode viewing experience that the ABC Full-Episode Player and ABC Player app have offered online and via tablets and phones. Viewers can access WATCH ABC online at ABC.com or by downloading the WATCH ABC app on their iPhone, iPad, Kindle Fire and, as of July 1, on select Android tablets, including Google Nexus 7 & 10; Samsung Galaxy Tab 2.7.0 & 2.10.1 and Galaxy Note 10.1.

As of July 1, viewers with participating TV subscription services in the Los Angeles (KABC-TV); Chicago (WLS-TV), Philadelphia (WPVI-TV), San Francisco (KGO-TV) and Raleigh-Durham (WTVD-TV) markets.

WATCH ABC is also scheduled to roll out in the final two ABC-owned station markets -- Houston (KTRK-TV) and Fresno (KFSN-TV)  prior to the launch of the new fall broadcast television season in September. Hearst Television also plans to launch the WATCH ABC service in their 13 ABC station markets, which include Boston, Pittsburgh, Kansas City and Milwaukee, in the coming months. Agreements with other station groups are expected to be announced prior to the launch of the new fall season.

The launch of WATCH ABC follows the success rollout of three WATCH Disney services -- WATCH Disney Channel, WATCH Disney XD and WATCH Disney Junior -- in June 2012. Downloaded nearly 15 million times since their debut, the three WATCH Disney products provide authenticated users with both access to live, linear network streams as well as an extensive offering of advantaged window "on demand" episodes.
