Dawn Jones

Dawn Jones

Dawn is currently a producer/reporter at WJRT-TV- ABC12, in Flint.

A Flint native and a Graduate of Flint Central High School, Dawn also graduated from Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts, where she received formal training in broadcast journalism.

She began her career in Detroit more than 15 years ago as a radio traffic announcer. Over the years Dawn held the position of news and public affairs director at WJZZ, WCHB, and WQBH radio, program director of WGPR radio; traffic announcer and co-host of the Mason and Company morning show on WJLB radio.

In 1998, Dawn became a news anchor and local producer for the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner Morning show on WDZZ radio in Flint. Also at WDZZ, she was the host of Focus, a weekly 30-minute live call-in talk show. The show featured the very popular monthly broadcast of "Ask the Mayor" with former Flint Mayor Woodrow Stanley.

She has several professional affiliations and has been the recipient of numerous awards and accolades.

Dawn is married and lives with her family in the Flint area.

Dawn is a member of Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church.
