A Livonia, Michigan native, Kevin joined the ABC12 news team in March 2000.
Prior to his return home, he held meteorologist positions in Lubbock and Longview, Texas, Lansing, Mich., Lincoln, Neb., Macon, Ga., and Waterloo, Iowa. Kevin says "with all of my family still in the Detroit area, it's nice to travel just an hour to visit them."
Kevin earned his Bachelor of Science degree in meteorology from Texas A&M University. Prior to that, he obtained another Bachelor of Science degree in bio-medical science from Western Michigan University.
A member of the American Meteorological Society, Kevin also holds the AMS Seal of Approval for television weathercasting.
"I enjoy mid-Michigan's ever-changing and challenging weather," he said. "Winter storms are still my favorite weather events to forecast. Give me snow and lots of it."
Single, Kevin likes to stay busy playing a variety of sports including tennis, table tennis, volleyball, softball, and weightlifting.
Other favorite activities include cooking, baking and collecting old chrome hubcaps from the 1950s.
Kevin is also very proud of his nearly complete collection of "Power Rangers" megazords from the popular children's live-action Saturday TV show on ABC12.
