ABC12 producer/reporter Rebecca Trylch is a Mid-Michigan native who's happy to be home living close to her family.
Rebecca grew up in Hope, a small town in Midland County, where she attended Meridian Public Schools.
She got her start in broadcasting in the fifth grade when she was chosen to take part in a video production program at Midland Community Television.
From there, Rebecca moved on to Central Michigan University, where she earned a Bachelor of Applied Arts and a Master of Arts degree in Broadcast and Cinematic Arts. During her time at CMU, Rebecca worked on the student-run newscast, News Central 34.
Rebecca also spent some time at The Midland Daily News and interned at 9 & 10 News in Cadillac.
After graduating from college, Rebecca moved north to Bemidji, Minn., where she worked as a reporter and anchor for just over a year.
Not one to stray far, Rebecca was homesick and made the move back to Mid-Michigan and to ABC12.
Rebecca, her husband and their two cats, Oscar and Olive, now live in Birch Run.
