Kelley Dickens

She joined the ABC12 News Team in January 2007 as part of an ABC/Disney training program.

Although she trained as a producer, Kelley soon found herself on the other side of the camera hosting our weekly Monday's Child and reporting other feature stories.

Kelley's dad was in the Army, so she's done a bit of traveling. 

Although she was born on an Army post in Fort Carson, Colorado, Kelley and her family moved back home to Detroit, where she graduated from Cass Tech High School.

Graduating Cum Laude from Eastern Michigan University, Kelley worked at The Michigan Citizen where she was the Culture and Arts editor and reporter.

Although successful, Kelley had the urge to change her career course and get into television. The rest, they say, is history.

Away from the newsroom, Kelley volunteers as a Big Sister in the Genesee County Big Brothers Big Sisters program.

Although she began dancing when she was 10, Kelley has taken a break, but would love to start again, and maybe even teach dance in her spare time.

Kelley and her dog, Oscar (a Shitzu, Bichon Frise, Maltese mix), live in Grand Blanc Township.
