Angela Brown

Angela Brown
Angela Brown joined the ABC12 news team in December 2008 and anchors ABC12 News Saturday and Sunday mornings.

A Detroit native, Angela graduated from the University of Michigan with a degree in English and also studied video production at Specs Howard School of Broadcast Arts.

Her first job was a KTVF in Fairbanks, Alaska. She began as a "one-man band" reporter/anchor/producer. After more than a year of frozen toes, Angela headed south to warm weather and WWAY in Wilmington, N.C. where she worked as the crime reporter and fill-in anchor.

Three months after she began that job, she had the rare opportunity of reporting during three hurricanes, including Hurricane Floyd.

After nearly two years it was time to come back home. She landed a job at WXYZ in Detroit, where she worked as a news writer. After months behind the camera, she missed reporting and was hired at WTOL News 11 in Toledo as a reporter/producer.

From Toledo, Angela headed further south down I-75 to Cincinnati where she began working for WLWT as a reporter in January 2006.

When she's not reporting, she watches old movies, lots of sports and enjoys dining out . She is always willing to hear your story ideas  and can be reached at angela.d.brown@abc.com
