Sharee Miller back in Genesee County Jail

Friday, July 17, 2009

(07/17/09)--Convicted killer Sharee Miller was out of prison Friday and then back in the Genesee County Jail.

She's the Mid-Michigan woman at the center of a high-profile Internet murder case dating back to 1999.

Genesee County Prosecutor David Leyton plans to recharge Miller next week.

Miller was granted a new trial last summer after a federal judge ruled her Internet lover's suicide note implicating her in her husband's murder should not have been used during her trial in December of 2000.

On Wednesday a federal judge ruled Miller could be released from prison on bond while she awaits a new trial.

Friday Leyton said he would re-arrest her, recharge her and eventually retry her on the same charges she was convicted of.

Those charges: conspiracy to commit first-degree murder and then second-degree murder.
