Hundreds gather for YWCA of Greater Flint's Circle of Women

FLINT (WJRT) -- (11/10/09)--Hundreds of women and a few men gathered Tuesday for the YWCA of Greater Flint's Circle of Women event.

Personal stories of women helped in the past were shared and there was a major announcement about the future.

In essence, Tuesday's annual event truly embodied women coming full circle. Tuesday about 400 people -- mostly women -- met to show support for the YWCA of Greater Flint.

Charise Key from Genesee County learned the importance of the organization first hand. A survivor of domestic violence, she found solace in the YWCA.

The new program will be called Women in Transition.
