NORTON SHORES, Mich. (AP) - Police in southwestern Michigan are trying to locate a person they say got a little too much into the new film installment of the "Twilight" series. Norton Shores police say the person bit the neck of a fellow movie-goer after a "New Moon" screening on Friday. As of late Tuesday, the suspect had not yet been identified, but authorities hope the public can help. The suspect had been sitting in the row in front of the 17-year-old victim and a female friend. Detective Lt. Timothy LaVigne tells The Muskegon Chronicle the suspect reportedly made sexual comments to the teens before the biting occurred. The bite did not break the skin, but the teen was frightened enough to call 911. --- Information from: The Muskegon Chronicle, http://www.mlive.com/muskegon

DETROIT SCHOOLS-PAWNED COMPUTER
District: Detroit teacher pawns laptop for $60

DETROIT (AP) - A Detroit elementary school teacher is accused of pawning one of the district's laptop computers for $60. The district says the teacher has been suspended without pay while the case is being investigated. Investigators were told Tuesday the Dell laptop was removed from the school on Nov. 21 and taken to a pawn shop. The district says the teacher admitted to needing cash to repair a tire on a personal vehicle and planned to get the computer back after raising enough for the pawn fee. More than 500 district computers have been stolen over the past six months. The cash-strapped district has been aggressive since March in weeding out theft and corruption.

TEENAGER KILLED-MICHIGAN
Michigan teen to stand trial in death of 19-yr-old

MUSKEGON, Mich. (AP) - A judge has ordered a teenager to stand trial in the shooting death of a Muskegon Community College student. Seventeen-year-old Antonio Ramsey is accused of shooting Andrea Parnell three times in the back of the head because he wanted her school tuition money. At the end of a probable cause hearing on Tuesday, 60th District Judge Maria Ladas Hoopes ordered Ramsey bound over for trial on charges of open murder and possessing a firearm while committing a felony. No trial date has been set, and Ramsey remains in the Muskegon County jail. Parnell was the mother of a 15-month-old girl. The 19-year-old died at a Muskegon hospital a few hours after the shooting earlier this month.

FAMILY KILLED-MICHIGAN
Judge says Mich. drunken-driving suit can go ahead

DETROIT (AP) - A federal judge has cleared the way for a trial to take place in a lawsuit filed against the employer of a man imprisoned in the 2005 deaths of three members of a suburban Detroit family. Thomas Wellinger was sentenced to 19 to 30 years after pleading guilty to second-degree murder in the deaths of Judith Weinstein of Farmington Hills and her sons. Police say Wellinger's blood alcohol level was at 0.43 when his SUV hit the Weinsteins' car at 70 miles per hour. Judith Weinstein's husband, Gary, sued UGS Inc., saying it let Wellinger leave its Livonia office visibly intoxicated. UGS says co-workers noticed no signs Wellinger was drunk. U.S. District Judge Paul Borman in a ruling this week denied a request by UGS lawyers to dismiss the suit.

AMBASSADOR BRIDGE-LAWSUIT
International Bridge Co. files suit against MDOT

DETROIT (AP) - The company that operates the Ambassador Bridge over the Detroit River is suing the state Transportation Department to open ramps leading to local freeways. The Detroit International Bridge Co. said Tuesday a lawsuit has been filed with the Michigan Court of Claims. It says transportation officials are "attempting to damage the Ambassador Bridge's business" while supporting a competing project to build a new bridge connecting Detroit to Windsor, Ontario. The suit also says the completed ramps to the Ambassador Bridge have been blocked with dirt and construction equipment. Transportation officials say the Bridge Co. has to complete its part of the project before the ramps can be opened.

SEC-MICHIGAN MONEY PROBE
Lawyer for Mich. money manager also in hot water

DETROIT (AP) - A lawyer who is representing a Michigan money manager accused of fraud has his own legal problems. Gregory Bartko was indicted this month in Raleigh, N.C., on charges of fraud, conspiracy and making false statements. Authorities say it's related to an investment program. Bartko disclosed the charges Tuesday in federal court in Detroit, where he's representing John Bravata. The Securities and Exchange Commission has filed a civil lawsuit accusing Bravata of running a $53 million real-estate investment scam from his offices in Southfield. Bartko says he'll keep working for Bravata, who denies any fraud. Bartko says he'll also fight the criminal charges in North Carolina. He lives in Berkeley Lake, Ga.

BABY SITTER BACKLASH
Mich. governor signs bill after baby-sitting flap

LANSING, Mich. (AP) - Michigan Gov. Jennifer Granholm has signed legislation that exempts baby-sitting from day care regulations after the state ordered a Barry County woman to stop watching her friend's children before school. The Republican-led Senate approved the bill on a 37-0 vote earlier this month. The Democratic governor signed it Tuesday. In August, the state Department of Human Services sent a letter to Lisa Snyder of Irving Township. It warned her that if she continued watching three children for about an hour each day before school, she'd be violating a law aimed at the operators of unlicensed day care centers. Granholm instructed DHS to work with lawmakers to change the law so people providing free baby-sitting service wouldn't need day care licenses.

WOLF KILLING-MICHIGAN
Wis. man accused of killing wolf in Michigan's UP

CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. (AP) - The Michigan Department of Natural Resources says a Wisconsin man illegally killed a wolf in Iron County earlier this month. DNR conservation officers found the animal dumped at the edge of a field south of Iron River on Nov. 17. Evidence at the scene led the officers to a nearby hunting camp where a possible suspect was identified. The Green Bay, Wis., man already had returned home, but agreed to return to Iron County to be served with arrest warrants and appear in court. The suspect will be arraigned in 95B District Court on Nov. 30. The maximum penalty for poaching a wolf is 90 days in jail or a fine of up to $1,000. Wolves are a federally protected species in Michigan and can't legally be killed except in the defense of human life.

SILVERDOME SALE
Silverdome sale brings more Detroit-area dismay

PONTIAC, Mich. (AP) - Talk about getting stuck with the cheap seats. The Pontiac Silverdome in suburban Detroit was built three decades ago for $56 million. Now it's being virtually given away after a judge approved its sale for a paltry $583,000. That comes out to $7.25 a seat as the once-proud arena is relegated to being another sad symbol of the Detroit area's economic collapse. The Silverdome opened in 1975 as home of the Detroit Lions and housed the NBA's Pistons in 1978-88. It hosted the Super Bowl in 1982, Elvis in 1975, even a Mass conducted by Pope John Paul II in 1987. Since being abandoned by the Lions in 2002, the stadium has saddled Pontiac with a $1.5 million a year maintenance bill. Meanwhile, the 66,000-resident city has fallen into state financial oversight.
