Belkin USB Anywhere

The USB Anywhere from Belkin lets you copy files from one USB mass storage compliant device to another. Most people will find it useful for copying pictures from a digital camera to a USB memory stick or to a USB hard drive. It can also be used to copy files from one USB drive to another or from one MP3 player to another, in fact, you could even copy pictures from your digital camera to your mp3 player!

We tested out the USB Anywhere and it worked exactly as promised. We plugged our digital camera into one end (Fuji S5000) and a USB flash drive into the other end (Dell 64MB). We waited about 5 - 10 seconds until both lights turned solid blue and the USB Anywhere was ready to copy. One push of the copy button and the process started. About 30 seconds later all of our pictures (about 3) were copied over. A checkmark light turned on when the process was completed. Personally I was impressed how simple it was.

The USB Anywhere comes with an AC adapter but it will also run on 3 AAA batteries. If you're looking to leave the laptop at home on your next vacation but want to copy your pictures off your camera, the USB Anywhere is the perfect solution. It sells for $45.
