CHICAGO (WJRT) (WJRT) -- (06/03/06)--From the "what will they think of next" department, a unique feature for your bathroom.
It was just introduced at the recent Kitchen and Bath Industry Show in Chicago.
This week on HomeWork, a whimsical potty that turns your toilet into a nautical wonderland.
It's called the Fish 'N Flush. It's a toilet tank and a fish tank all in one.
Sandy and William Palmer of Sarasota, Florida think it's a great idea. "If you have a stay at home cat, I think that would be wonderful," says Sandy. "It would entertain him."
William thinks it would be a useful potty training tool. "To me, this is one of those items you'd get for your younger kids to entertain them. Maybe in those special pre-years for potty training."
The company that makes this bathroom novelty, Aqua One Technologies, says the average do-it yourselfer can install it in five minutes. "On the front part of it is the fish aquarium and on the back side it's a toilet tank, so it's a fully functional fish tank and a fully functional toilet tank," explains Brian Reel of Aqua One.
The first time people see it, they fear the fish are going down the drain along with everything else. While it was designed as a fish tank, Reel says you can put other things in here, too. "If you don't want fish, if you want to make it for scorpions, snakes, lizards..."
That wouldn't work at our house since we have a general rule about keeping scorpions away from our private parts.
