Survey Questions (Character limit of 2,000 per response)

How would your representation of your constituents be different from what they've experienced the past 17 years?
It would be transparent, far more involved and far more hands on so that the residents can "see" that this congressman means business in ensuring I will not be unseen and not felt by the constituents. There local issues will be front and center. No more celebrity congressman while I am the representative. Let the residents get the spotlight and not the member for a welcome change. It's not about "me", it's all about "We".

Can the budget deficit be controlled only by spending cuts or does the federal government need to raise more revenue? If you favor more revenue, should there be a general tax hike?
No it cannot. The top 2% must pony up and become responsible Americans again. The era of greed is over. They know how they have and are "gaming the system". This country is on the brink of a depression. We were give a bill of debt to pay that the common people did not make but are being told that cut in vital programs must be made in order for the program to survive is nonsense. We must stop giving the masses of the people a "rich greedy man's tab' and think the masses must always pay the bill. We must increase revenue by taxes on the top 2% because they received the largess of the bill made.

How would you help create jobs in your district?
To institute WPA Depression-era programs for the U.S. Government to invest in people again and put them to work as President Roosevelt did in the height of 25% of Americans were out of work. He put them back to work making the things we still enjoy today. There is not ifs, ands or buts about it. We must do this or we will fall into chaos. We must rescue our fellow Americans from hopelessness. To lure American companies in China and elsewhere that sought after cheap labor and no regulations now to return home to American shore to setup shop. If they won't willing, then tariffs must be implemented on product made offshore but destined to be sold here, heavy tariffs must be attached to help alleviate this massive debt the average man, woman and child did not make but as Americans are being forced to accept austerity as away of life. This is not the country I grew up in. We must make the hard decision and return to days of old. Taxes on corporations must return to levels in the 1960's and individuals must return as in the 1960's as under President Kennedy.

Do you support stricter guns laws? If so, what would you propose?
Yes, chaos is around the corner. As with anything that is of a deadly nature or instrument, there MUST be regulation. I grew up where a gun that was presented openly, we ran away as fast as possible to safety. Now the gun is idolized. It may be but it and the gun owner must recognize that with great power (in this case death is in the chamber speaking of the bullet) there comes great responsibility. We must grow up. This is not the Wild Wild West. Nor should it. Sanity & normalcy must be restored, pronto if we are to remain what left of a civil society.

Do you support changes to transportation infrastructure, such as extending the CTA Red Line to 130th Street or building a third airport in Peotone?
I am in favor of the extension of the Red Line South to 130th Street absolutely! This is what FDR would sign off on and would be like a WPA Project. I am in favor of these and many others like it. It means needed jobs, revitalized infrastructure that modernizes the community. It provides a needed transportation function as greater movability for the residents that utilize that area or need it to shuttle passengers from points in the Southland to the City and back again saving millions on gas using cars.
