14 of 17: Located in Congress Plaza, this statue made by Ivan Mestrovic in 1928 depicts a Native American on his horse. One of two Native American sculptures, this particular one is named, "The Spearman" because of the way his arms are held. The other sculpture, directly across, is named "the Bowman." Although both look like their weapons have been taken out, Mestrovic wanted viewers to use their imagination. These sculptures are located between S. Michigan Ave. and E. Congress Pkwy.
