4 of 17: Because of its structure, the BP Bridge has been a popular route to take. Made with sheet metal, stainless steel, reinforced concrete and hardwood, the BP Bridge has been made to look abstract by designer Frank Gehry. Before opening in 2004, energy firm BP donated $5 million for construction and naming rights. Opened for most of the year, the bridge is closing during the winter season because the snow and ice cannot be removed safely without damaging the hardwood. This bridge is located at 201 E. Randolph and crosses Columbus Dr. ( Photo / Joanna Wesoly/ABC 7 Chicago)
