Man reported missing

June23, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Chicago police are looking for information about a missing man who was last seen on Tuesday.

Ricardo Mendez, 28, who is developmentally delayed, was last seen leaving a grocery store at 5000 S. Ashland. He was walking westbound on 50th Street at 11:30 a.m. and was wearing a white with numerals on the front, white jeans, and white gym shoes.

Mendez only speaks and understands Spanish and may be confused.

Mendez is also known to frequent the area near the 3100-block of South Lake Shore Drive.

Anyone who has seen Mendez or has any knowledge of his whereabouts is asked to call 911 or Chicago Police Department Special Victims Unit at 312-747-8385.
