October 20, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- A small fire forced the evacuation of a building on the University of Chicago campus on Chicago's South Side.
Firefighters were called to the building in the 5800-block of South Ellis just after one on Tuesday afternoon. They say embers from roof work at the Franklin McLean Institute came through the roof and started a small fire on the 7th floor.
The building houses research labs so hazardous materials units were also called in.
The fire was put out quickly. No one was injured.
