November 3, 2009 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Charges have been upgraded against a man in connection to a crash that killed a 27-year-old pregnant woman.
The woman's premature baby also died.
James Cox, 39, is now charged with aggravated driving under the influence causing a death.
On October 31, 2009, Cox was allegedly drunk when he ran a red light at the intersection of Washington Boulevard and Kostner Avenue. Cox's minivan collided with a van that struck Kim Brown.
Doctors delivered Brown's baby boy but he died the following day.
