May 5, 2006 -- A grocery store mascot is being held for random in New Hampshire and instead of asking for dough, the thieves just took it.
A Pillsbury Doughboy has been kidnapped from a supermarket in Manchester. Ever since the disappearance three weeks ago, the store has been receiving letters with snapshots of it traveling around New England.
Employees suspect heis looking for a new home since his home is closing after 20 years.
One of the first letters read, "If you close the store, the Pillsbury Doughboy will be baked."
