Video shows clerk throw beer cans at robber

  

September 21, 2012 (PORT ORANGE, Fla.) (WLS) -- Caught on camera: A convenience store clerk in Florida used beer cans as weapons to fend off a robber.

Store surveillance video shows the suspect reaching across the counter to grab cash.

The store clerk runs from behind the counter and throws beer cans at the offender. They apparently hurt.

The would-be robber dropped the money and runs out of the store. The clerk chased after him.

Police eventually caught up with the suspect and arrested him.
