Stove-pipe sponge bears resemblance to Cookie Monster

September 23, 2013 (WLS) -- A man diving off a Caribbean island has found an underwater look-alike to a beloved TV character.

This stove pipe sponge was spotted off the coast of Curacao. Underwater photographer Mauricio Handler snapped this picture because it bears a striking resemblance to "Cookie Monster" from Sesame Street.

The sponge has what look like bulging "eyes" a wide mouth and a blue appearance.

But you won't find the stove pipe sponge devouring cookies-- it lives off plankton.
