Comcast to raise rates

Tuesday, October 07, 2008

It will soon cost Comcast customers a little more to watch cable TV.

Starting November 1, the company is boosting rates on average of about 3 percent. That includes most cable TV services, digital video recorder service and HD set-top boxes.

Comcast high-speed Internet and digital voice home phone service will not see an increase in price.

Comcast says the rate increase is still well under the rate of inflation.
