New stamps feature classic TV shows

  

August 11, 2009 (WLS) -- The U.S. Postal Service is saluting early television shows with a new collection of stamps.

The early TV memories stamps honor 20 television icons.

The first class stamps include shows like The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, Lassie, The Lone Ranger, I Love Lucy, The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet, The Red Skelton Show, Dragnet and Kukla, Fran and Ollie.

Kukla and Fran and Ollie originated in Chicago in 1947.
