May 2, 2012 (CHICAGO) (WLS) -- Dollar General is expanding its grocery department.
The Wall Street Journal reports the discount chain is adding more fresh foods and refrigerated items. Dollar General also plans to add 40 new market stores over the next year.
Those stores will mostly be added in areas that do not have grocery stores.
