Shop Your Way Max, new Sears shipping program for online purchases

  

November 5, 2012 (WLS) -- Sears is trying out a new shipping program for merchandise purchased online.

For $79 a year, members of the "Shop Your Way Max" program will receive unlimited, free two-day shipping on items purchased online from Sears and Kmart.

Amazon has a similar shipping program.

This is the latest move from brick-and-mortar stores to boost their online offers for the holiday season.

A recent Nielsen survey found nearly 18 percent of shoppers said they planned to spend more online this year than last.
