Prediction: Holiday shipping season will be busy

  

November 8, 2012 (WLS) -- If you plan on mailing holiday packages this year, the earlier the better.

The U.S. Postal Service is predicting that this holiday shipping season will be its busiest ever.

UPS and Fed-Ex both say they expect to deliver at least 10 percent more packages during this year's holiday shipping rush.

The U.S. Postal Service expects Monday, December 17th to be its busiest shipping day.

The latest you can ship for Christmas delivery through the postal service is by express mail on December 21st.
